Applications with iodobromic brine


Iodine—bromine brine applications are a physiotherapy procedure in which napkins or special pads soaked in iodine-bromine mineral brine (an aqueous solution containing iodine and bromine) are applied to the patient's skin. The procedure has a local and general therapeutic effect due to the absorption of these trace elements through the skin.

Procedure action:

Indications:

  • diseases of the musculoskeletal system (arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis, periarthritis, muscle and joint pain);

  • diseases of the peripheral nervous system;

  • chronic inflammatory skin diseases (neurodermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, trophic ulcers);

  • chronic vascular diseases;

  • vegetative vascular dystonia, functional disorders of the nervous system;

  • rehabilitation after injuries and operations on soft tissues and joints.

Contraindications: acute infectious processes, severe cardiovascular diseases, malignant neoplasms, diseases in the acute stage.
