Plasticizing massage is a special manual technique aimed at increasing the elasticity and firmness of the skin, improving its structure and creating a lifting effect. Unlike classical therapeutic or relaxing massage, plasticizing massage pays special attention to the plasticity of tissues: the technique works with deep layers, connecting elements of connective tissue, trying to restore their pliable structure and the correct ratio of fluid in the interstitial spaces.
Indications:
rehabilitation after injuries and operations;
chronic pain syndromes and muscle clamps;
edema and lympho‑venous insufficiency in mild forms;
aesthetic indications;
prevention and improvement of tissue mobility.
Contraindications:
acute inflammatory processes in the affected area;
acute infectious diseases and fever;
thrombophlebitis and the tendency to thrombosis;
malignant tumors in the active stage or suspected cancer in the area of manipulation;
bleeding, tendency to bleed, hemophilia;
fresh open wounds, skin infections and dermatitis at the massage site;
acute cardiovascular insufficiency and unstable arrhythmia;
pregnancy in the early stages and with the threat of termination (the issue of safety is decided individually and often the method is not used in the abdominal area);
uncontrolled hypertension.
